Biography

Originally from the Isle of Wight off the South coast of England, Paul turned professional at the tender age of sixteen under the tutelage of PGA professional Terry Healy at Rowlands Castle Golf Club (Southern England). It was here seeing good players come from all over to visit Terry that Paul was first exposed to the benefits of quality golf instruction giving his first individual lesson at the age of eighteen Paul found he had knack for getting pupils getting pupils to improve and play better golf. His enormous curiosty and thirst to find out more was piqued after viewing Nick Faldo's first golf instruction video produced with golfing guru David Leadbetter. Having seen his own and his pupils game improve significantly as result it confirmed what he had long suspected-that there was more to teaching golf than what was generally currently on offer. Less than two years after viewing the video Paul found himself working alongside David Leadbetter after a move to France where David had set up the first of his overseas academies.

Paul spent the next thirteen years working in and directing various David Leadbetter Golf Academies. Along the way working with tour players such as Ryder Cup player Per Ulrik Johannson and recent tour winner Jose Manuel Lara. During his time directing the first Leadbetter academy in Spain at the La Cala resort he trained and helped develop a whole host of young up and coming instructors finding he had gift for getting the most out of instructors and creating a great team atmosphere which was infectious to instructors and students alike. It was also here that he staged two training days with the PGA of Andaluciance again passing on his skills to to fellow professionals. He also ran a series of successful instruction articles for "Sun Golf" magazine. Currently based at Can Cuyas Golf Club just outside Barcelona he is currently running a full schedule to golfers of all abilities from complete beginner to Tour professionals.
